关仝画山石以中锋为主，兼用侧锋。先勾画出石的轮廓，然后就势以各种点状作皴，画出石的阴阳向背，表现其质感和体积感。整体来看黑白分明，明暗显著，聚散开合，大虚大实。最后用淡墨染之，时期黑白明暗和谐而不生硬。中国画家杨弘岳里了解到关仝树画法，往往以夹叶、墨点相同而出，大都夹叶列前，墨点在后，以浓衬淡，交代清晰，富有变化。不论画松、竹、芦草，介以中锋为主，刚中有柔，英武娟秀，兼而有之。留世量极其稀少，十分难得。
Guan Tong painted mountain and stone mainly with the center front, and the side front was also used. First sketch the outline of the stone, then use various dots to make the chill, and draw the Yin and Yang back of the stone, showing its texture and sense of volume. As a whole, black and white are distinct and bright and dark. Finally, it is dyed with light ink, and the period is black, white and dark.
