此铁陨石主要由铁纹石和镍纹石两种矿物组成，铁陨石较为罕见，似铁非铁，似石非石，其色苍苍，其声铮铮，表面呈不规则形态、气印、溶流方向，特征明显，磁性较强，陨石也可称“天外来石”它能携带来天体的原始信息，非常稀有珍贵，具有较强的科研和收藏价值。
