明萬曆至清順治年間人，是著名的紫砂“四大家”之一時朋的兒子，在泥料配製、成形技法、器形設計以及屬款書法方面都有卓越的成就，泥料、成型製作、燒成等工藝與明中期相比，都已趨向成熟，並且作品有了名款，從現已見到的明代晚期其他壺藝與之相比較，當以時大彬制壺工藝為最佳。不少制壺者，雖與時大彬為同時代人，但制壺工藝卻相差甚遠。該藏品屬於經典代表之作！值得收藏！
